What is a Patch?
One specific problem, solved by one specific human, with a clear outcome and a clear end. Not a project, not a retainer: you describe what is blocking you, an expert proposes an outcome and a price, and the Patch is done when that outcome is delivered.
Do I need to be technical to describe my problem?
No. Describe what you see and what you have already tried, in your own words. Experts translate that into a diagnosis; you compare outcomes, price and delivery, not technical jargon.
Do I have to share my whole codebase?
No. Nobody gets access just for viewing a request. You decide which repository is shared, with whom, when it starts and when it ends. Every Patch begins with a Patch Agreement that fixes the scope.
Who are the experts?
Vetted developers, product designers and product experts who have solved this kind of problem before. Each one applies and follows the expert guidelines on every Patch.
How long does it take to hear back?
We review every request and come back by email with proposals from relevant experts. Each proposal states its own delivery time, so you know what you are choosing before you choose it.
What if none of the proposals work for me?
You decline them. Posting a request, getting matched and receiving proposals cost nothing, and you are never charged until you choose a solution.
